Abstract:Allergic rhinitis (AR) is a common allergic disease with a complex pathogenesis involving influences of various genetic and environmental factors, and protein regulation. In recent years, it has greatly advanced our understanding of the pathogenesis of AR by the widespread application of omics technologies, such as genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, and metabolomics. This review summarizes the research progress on the applications of omics technologies in the pathogenesis of AR. Genomic studies have revealed multiple risk gene loci associated with AR. Transcriptomic analysis has highlighted the role of differentially expressed genes and their regulatory networks in AR. Additionally, proteomics and metabolomics research of AR has provided significant support for the identification of novel biomarkers and potential therapeutic targets. The review also discusses the potential of multi-omics integrative analysis in the precision medicine of AR, which proposes that future research should focus on data integration and application transformation to further promote the diagnosis and treatment of AR.
