Objective The aim of this study was to evaluate the clinical efficacy of HADM (Human Acellular Dermal Matrix, HADM) combined with nasal mucosal flap for the repair of nasal septum perforation. Methods Ten patients with nasal septum perforation admitted to the Affiliated Hospital of Yanbian University were selected. The nasal septum perforation was repaired under general anesthesia via nasal endoscopy using HADM combined with nasal mucosal flap. Postoperative follow-up was performed to assess the survival of mucosal flaps and the success rate of surgery. Results All 10 patients with nasal septal perforation were successfully repaired in a single surgery.Bilateral nasal ventilation was excellent, and nasal symptoms completely disappeared. During the 8 weeks of follow-up, there was no perforation of nasal septum and no local or systemic reactions. Conclusions It is an effective treatment method for the repair of nasal septum perforation using HADM combined with nasal mucosal flap under nasal endoscopy. The surgical procedure is simple and can be widely adopted in clinical practice.
