Abstract:Rhinoplasty is one of the mainstream cosmetic surgical procedures worldwide. Clinically, while pursuing aesthetic outcomes, the focus on improving nasal function has been continuously increasing. The complexity of rhinoplasty predisposes patients to various complications, imposing physical, psychological and economic burdens on them. This paper systematically reviews evidence-based medical evidence regarding postoperative complications of rhinoplasty, focusing on perioperative management, implant selection, morphological and structural repair, and protection of nasal function. Perioperative interventions including medication, nerve block and cold therapy can effectively control early complications such as hemorrhage and pain. Transseptal suture can replace traditional nasal packing. Both autologous cartilage and synthetic implants have specific postoperative complications. Hump recurrence, nasal tip and nasal dorsum deformities require correction with precise surgical techniques. Meanwhile, iatrogenic nasal airway obstruction and hyposmia should be cautiously prevented in rhinoplasty. In the future, the integration of artificial intelligence and evidence-based medicine can further improve the safety and precision of rhinoplasty.
