Abstract:Objective To improve the diagnosis and treatment of special foreign bodies in pharynx.Methods This paper reported the clinical data of a case of incarcerated metallic foreign body in the nasopharynx, oropharynx and laryngeal pharynx and reviewed relevant literature. Results The patient had obvious clinical manifestations and imaging examinations. After the diagnosis was confirmed, the pharyngeal foreign body removal was performed with multidisciplinary collaboration. The patient was discharged one day after surgery, and no infection was found after discharge.Conclusion Rare pharyngeal foreign bodies and their potential risks continue to pose great challenges for clinicians to emphasize early diagnosis and Sselections of effective treatment options.Multidisciplinary assistance is needed when necessary.
