Abstract:Objective To provide reference for clinicians in the diagnosis and treatment of laryngopharyngeal ulcer, this paper retrospectively analyzed the medical records of 10 patients with laryngeal ulcer as the main clinical manifestations.Methods The clinical characteristics of the collected cases were analyzed for the clinical manifestations, lesion sites, ulcer characteristics, diagnosis and treatment, pathological diagnosis and prognosis of the patients. And the clinical characteristics of the diseases based on the typical cases were expounded, and the related literatures were reviewed.Results Finally, 6 cases of laryngophthisis (1 case in supraglottic portion, 4 cases in glottic region, 1 case in infraglottic portion), 2 cases of ulcerative pharyngitis, 1 case of lymphoma, 1 case of hypopharyngeal cancer were diagnosed. All patients received the appropriate treatments according to the final diagnosis.Conclusion It is necessary to make definite diagnosis for different ulcer diseases of larynx and throat. Besides simple ulcer lesions, the other laryngopharyngeal lesions should be considered, including specific infection, malignant tumor and other diseases. Only after the diagnosis of pharyngeal ulcer disease is clear, the exact curative effect can be achieved only by precise treatment.
