Abstract:Objective: To explore the general situation of the research on allergic rhinitis in children and summarize the research hotspots and innovation point. Methods: “Allergic rhinitis” and “children” were used as the subject word in the CNKI database, and the chosen literatures were analyzed by CiteSpace visually. Results: A total of 1242 articles were included in this paper. The visualization analysis show that the research on allergic rhinitis in children in China has progressed from slow exploration in the early stage to rapid start in the past two decades and then to steady progress at present. The main keywords are "children", "rhinitis", "allergic", "asthma" and "allergens", and the recent focus is on traditional Chinese medicine research. Pang Chong's team were high-yielding authors, and Otorhinolaryngology department of Shanghai Seventh People's Hospital and Otorhinolaryngology Department of Children's Hospital affiliated to Capital Institute of Pediatrics were the high-yielding institutions. Conclusion: The number of articles related to children allergic rhinitis is increasing by years, the research focus tends to be the application of traditional Chinese medicine therapy but need more high-quality evidence.
