Objective: To investigate the clinical characteristics,treatments and precautionarySmeasures for iatrogenic tracheal foreign body.Methods: Clinical data of 13 patients with iatrogenic tracheal foreign body were retrospectively analyzed,Among the 13 cases, 7 cases of foreign body came from the patient"s own tissues and 6 were foreign matters.The foreign bodies located in the main trachea,left bronchus,right bronchus and unknown location were 5cases ,3cases ,4cases and 1 cases respectively.8 cases had no obvious clinical symptoms,2 cases were simple choking cough and 3 cases were choking with wheezing and dyspnea. 5 cases of foreign bodie were removed by rigidbronchoscope, 5 cases were removed by fiberoptic bronchoscope and 3 cases by other methods.Results:All the 13 foreign bodies were removed successfully,1 patients with tracheal foreign bodies caused by tooth extractionin developed pneumothorax after operation was transferred to thoracic surgery for further treatment,there were no obvious complications in other patients.Conclusion: The causes of iatrogenic tracheobronchial foreign bodies were various and the clinical manifestations were lack of specificity,so it’s very important to prevent and discriminate it from happening clinically, and an appropriate method should be selected for removing the foreign bodies according to the different clinical characteristics.
