Abstract:0bjective:To evaluate the effect of modified Davis-Boyle Mouth Gag in tonsillectomy. Methods:From July 2017 to February 2021,110 patients who met the criteria for tonsillectomy were reviewed.?In the experimental group, 55 patients underwent modified Davis-Boyle Mouth Gag assisted tonsillectomy, while in the control group, 55 patients underwent traditional Davis-Boyle Mouth Gag assisted tonsillectomy. The results of the two groups were compared in the following aspects: the effect of subtonsil extreme exposure, the time to finish the operation field, the total operation time, the residue of subtonsil extreme, the tear of the Mucosa of the pharyngeal arch and the paralysis of the tongue. Result:Compared with the traditional Davis-Boyle Mouth Gag assisted tonsillectomy, the modified Davis-Boyle Mouth Gag assisted tonsillectomy had a better exposure of the lower pole of the tonsillectomy field and a shorter exposure time and operation time, the lower residue of Tonsil, tongue paralysis and tear of pharyngeal-lingual arch were lower. Conclusion: Tonsillectomy With Modified Davis-Boyle Mouth Gag has a better visual field, is helpful to improve the quality of surgery, and is worthy of clinical application.
