Abstract:Circular RNAs are a class of endogenous RNAs, are characterized by covalently closed continuous loop without 5’ to 3’ polarity and polyadenylated tail and cannot encode proteins. Because of their special circular structures, they have higher tolerance to exonuclease digestion and are more stable than linear RNAs. CircRNAs have been reported to be involved in a wide range of biological processes and play an important role in the occurrence and development of various tumors, which may become an ideal therapeutic target for tumors. It has been reported that the abnormal expression of circRNA is closely related to the occurrence and development of laryngeal cancer. In this paper, domestic and overseas literatures about several circRNAs closely related to laryngeal carcinoma were reviewed so as to provide reference for gene-targeted therapies and biomarkers of laryngeal carcinoma
