Abstract:Objective To investigate the effect of surgical treatment of double fusiform incision for congenital preauricular fistula with infection in children.Methods A retrospective analysis was performed on the clinical data of the clinical data of 85 children (85 ears) with congenital preauricular fistula infection treated by double fusiform incision from June 2017 to June 2019 in Children's Hospital of Fudan Univercity Xiamen Branch.Then, the postoperative efficacy of the children were observed.Results All 85 cases of children were successfully operated, 83 cases (83 ears) healed in the first stage and 2 cases healed in the second stage within 7 to 10 days after surgery. All children had no obvious scars on the skin surgical incisions, no complications such as auricular perichondritis, no obvious changes in the shape of the auricles, and the incisions healed with cosmetic suture effect. The postoperative follow-up lasted from 6 months to 2 years, and there was no recurrence cases, and the cure rate was 100%.Conclusion It is a simple and aesthetic method with little trauma, quick recovery and satisfactory postoperative effect for the surgical treatment of double fusiform incision for congenital preauricular fistula with infection in children. It can be widely applied in clinic.
