Abstract:ObjectiveTraumatic tympanic membrane perforation is one of the common diseases in the outpatient and emergency department of otorhinolaryngology. There are a variety of treatment methods for traumatic tympanic membrane perforation.However,at present, there is no unified standard of treatment at domestic and overseas. The natural healing mechanism of traumatic tympanic membrane perforation is complicated, and there are many factors affecting the healing and prognosis of the patients. Unreasonable treatment will have a heavy impact on patients. This article introduces the natural healing of traumatic tympanic membrane perforation, and summarizes the treatment and research progress of traumatic tympanic membrane perforation in recent years at domestic and overseas.The purpose of this review is to provide reference for the selection and research of the clinical treatment of traumatic tympanic membrane perforation.
