Abstract:ObjectiveTo investigate the expressions of claudin1 and cyclinB1 in hypopharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma(HSCC) and its adjacent tissues, and to analyze their relationship with clinical factors and prognosis of patients with HSCC.Methods①The histological specimens of 97 cases with complete clinical pathological data of the patients with HSCC were selected as the research object, and 90 cases of adjacent normal mucosa tissues as the control group. The expressions of claudin1 and cyclinB1 in HSCC and normal mucosa were analyzed by immunohistochemistry. It was analyzed for the relationship between the clinical factors and the prognosis of patients.②The expressions of claudin1 and cyclinB1 in 30 cases of HSCC and its adjacent tissues were analyzed by RTPCR, and to explore the correlation between them.Results①Both Claudin1 and cyclinB1 were highly expressed in HSCC compared to adjacent tissues(P<0.05). ②Claudin1 protein expression was correlated with tumor differentiation (P=0.004)and lymph node metastasis(P=0.026). KaplanMeier analysis showed that Claudin1 was associated with patient survival(P=0.003).③The expression of cyclinB1 was correlated with the differentiation degree of tumor (P<0.001). Claudin1 was positively correlated with cyclinB1 (P<0.001).④The relationship between claudin1 and cyclinB1 was significantly positive correlation(r=0.482,P<0.001).ConclusionThe highly expressions of claudinl and cyclinB1 with synergistic effects may contribute to the carcinogenesis and development of hypopharyngeal carcinoma.
