Abstract:ObjectiveHigh mobility group protein B1 (HMGB1) is a proinflammatory cytokine, which is widely expressed in various cells of an organism, which can be combined with receptors of advanced glycation end products (RAGE) or tolllike receptors to promote the secretion of inflammatory cytokines.Studies have shown that HMGB1 is closely related to the occurrence and development of respiratory inflammatory diseases. HMGB1 plays an important role in the diagnosis and prognosis evaluation of diseases. In this paper, we reviewed the pathway of HMGB1 and its relationship with the occurrence and development of nasal mucosa inflammatory disease and lower airway inflammatory disease.MethodsResultsConclusion
