Abstract:Abstract:ObjectiveTo explore the application of seminar teaching combined with casebased learning in clinical teaching of otolaryngology.MethodsA total of 48 students of seven year attending the probationary teaching in department of otolaryngology, head and neck surgery,xuanwu hospital,capital medical university were randomly divided into the experimental group and the contrast group. The contrast group adopted the traditional teaching method, and the experimental group adopted the seminar teaching combined with casebased learning. The theoretical examination scores, practice performance scores and teaching satisfaction of the two groups were compared.ResultsThe final scores of theoretical examination(93.00±3.13) and practice performance(90.25±2.97) for experimental group were higher than that of contrasted group (87.70±3.57)and(85.92±4.68).The difference between groups was statistically significant (P<0.01).The teaching satisfaction of experimental group(95.80%) was higher than that of contrasted group(70.80%). There was a significant difference between the groups (P<0.05).ConclusionsThe seminar teaching combined with casebased learning can improve students' learning ability and practice ability.It arouses students’interest, expands clinical thinking.It is helpful for students to master the knowledge system.The teaching effect of the method is remarkable.
